Abrau tulle photo and description of how it looks and where it swims

Tulka Abrau (lat. Clupeonella abrau) freshwater fish from the family of herring, in the classification it is referred to two types: tulks and sprats.

Appearance

On average, the body size of this individual does not exceed ten centimeters, and their mass varies from five to ten grams. Coloring varies from dark gray to silver, scales without much effort exfoliate.

Spawning

Puberty occurs at Tulka after reaching a year and a half, when it reaches 3-5 centimeters in length. Spawning extends to the entire territory of the reservoir from the beginning of summer to midautumn. This fish scurfs after sunset, at night. For the sweep, the water temperature should be about 22 degrees. Already in the morning after laying off the caviar, larvae are visible from it, which very quickly fall to the bottom. At this time, recently hatched larvae do not need food until they have a yellow bag, and in the future they rise up.

In nature, Abrau tulks do not live up to three years, and their dimensions rarely exceed ten centimeters.

Status and protection

This family belongs to the fourth category a view with a narrow habitat.

Scientists recommend developing special measures so that they have the opportunity to breed a tulle in reservoirs with fresh water, which in its properties will be similar to Abrau a lake, which is considered one of the most fresh reservoirs around the world. But, first of all, you need to make sure that there are predators in the reservoir who feed on a tulle and other small fish. In Lake Abrau, for example, large fish are caught by type of pike perch to ensure the preservation of the local population of the tulks.

It was because of pike perch that the population of this family was sharply reduced-mass acclimatization of predatory fish began. For many years, representatives of this family were considered a massive look, they could be caught on the network hundreds of copies. There are no accurate data about the number of Abrau tulks in our time, some sources even indicate that this species in principle died out and it is not now.

The Lake Abrau itself is currently used as an object in which you can save those small residues of the family in order to further restore their population. As measures contributing to an increase in the quantity, one can name: breeding in a pond of white silver carp, which eats most of the harmful plants; intentional capture of competitors in the food chain bleak and potter, observation of fishing.

Habitat

At the present time, the Abrau tulle is not particularly common in ordinary lakes, only single individuals can fall in the wild. They often migrate in search of food, lead a lifestyle, try not to swim to the shore, because they are afraid to get into fishing grounds.

Now the only place in which you can find representatives of this species can be considered only Lake Abrau, located in the Krasnodar Territory. The height above sea level is 70 meters. Some scientists believe that a tully from Turkey is an Abrau, but in the classification it is characterized as c. Cultriventris is a very similar, but still another kind of fish. They are often found on the surface of the water surface.

Lifestyle

This type of fish consumes algae, as well as branchy and oar crayfish. In the first year of life, hesitations, claws and other small microorganisms that are in water eaten.
