Australian myst (or, otherwise, Australian smoky cat) is the first breed bred in Australia. In the 1970s, the labor breeder Streid took up its selection in the 1970s. Burmansk and Abyssinian cats, as well as their street relatives, participated in the breeding. Painful work was carried out for ten years, and its result was kittens of spotted smoky color. From their Burmansky ancestors, they received the variability of color, from the Abyssinian a special hair structure, and from exorbitant parents a spotted pattern on the wool. The name of the breed received the corresponding spotted myst. However, ten more variation of color appeared ten years later marble. As a result, in 1998, it was decided to renam the breed, and then it received an abstract name the Australian smoky myst.
Australian mist cats owners of a balanced nature. They are ideal for the role of pets in a large family. Pets do not require walking and lead a fairly measured lifestyle.
