Ornithologists distinguish about 440 species of birds living in Ukraine. More than half of them nesting precisely in the country. More than 120 species winter in their homeland and only about forty are prone to seasonal migrations. There are also views imported from other habitats.
In Ukraine, a group of ornithologists in 1994 created the Ukrainian Society for Poultry Protection. It is engaged in the prevention of reducing the number of birds and fights with their disappearance. First of all, this nonprofit organization protects birds listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.

Conclusion
The nature of Ukraine has many environmental problems caused by human activities. These include air and water pollution, destruction of fertile land and deforestation, abandoned military installations and the consequences of radiation pollution due to the Chernobyl accident.
All this directly affects the flora and fauna, in particular, the number and species composition of birds. The presence of several nature reserves in the country inspires hope for the preservation and increase of their populations.
