These light, elegant and beautiful insects are known to everyone, because they live in all the territories of the globe, where there are flowering plants. They are photographed, they are admired and even ordered for events. Butterflies are divided into many species, and the total number of such “groups” and “families” exceeds 158,000. Consider the most common types.

Belyani

Every resident of Eurasia probably knows representatives of this group. Belyanks are widespread in almost all regions and include a cabbage, lemonade, potted whitish, hawthorn and other butterflies. Total groups nine species.

One of the most common whites is a cabbage. The inhabitants of the villages know it better than all of it, since one of the favorite places of laying eggs is cabbage. The caterpillars that were born, as a rule, cause considerable damage to the crop, if you do not take measures in time.

At the end of May, many waters of the country comprehended an interesting phenomenon: the shores are covered with a continuous cover of butterflies with white wings and black veins. All nymphalids are similar to each other, so often nonspecialists confuse them. But many will immediately recognize the peacock eye. This butterfly stands out with beautiful blue circles in the corners of a rich red wings.

Brazhniki

Brazhniki Night family of butterflies. They are distinguished by narrow wings with a small scale not exceeding 13 mm. Some species, for example, are poplar bribe, look like moths outwardly. All representatives of this group, regardless of the coloring of the wings, unites the presence of a similar pattern on them.

These butterflies got their name for a night lifestyle and the corresponding coloring of some types. This group includes 35,000 species that live on various continents. On average, scoops small insects with a scale of wings up to 35 mm. But among them there is a true giant, whose wings deal with the width of 31 centimeters. This is Agrippin’s mud. In night flight, it can be taken for a mediumsized bird.

They are distinguished by the lack of proboscis and the presence of a blooming apparatus instead. Thanks to such a tool, gear moths can easily warm holes in various surfaces, for example, leaves.

Representatives of this group are very similar to gear moles and were officially considered them until 1967. Later, experts allocated apostate butterflies into a separate family. They have dark wings covered with whitish, gray and cream spots, which provides good masking in the foliage and on trees trunks.
