Character
Cats of this breed are very inquisitive and active. It seems that they are all the time in motion. But at the same time, they are not thoughtlessly rushing around the house, jumping on everything, but move gracefully, as if dancing. Watching these elegant animals is real pleasure.
Turkish Angora monogamous. They are attached to one person and are happy to communicate with him. I must say that these cats love to chat, although they can hardly be compared by the level of the noise created with Siamese, which in this unequivocally hold leadership positions.
Angoras do not like to sit in their arms. As befits independent and selfsufficient cats, they come for their portion of affection when they want it, and not the owner. Then they are happy to give themselves to iron, they can even sit on their knees as an exception, and then go further to do their own affairs.
In general, Turkish Angoras feel much more comfortable alone with the owner. Therefore, it is believed that they are excellent companions for single people.
Cats of this breed are very fond of playing. If they are not busy researching the house, then they probably drive some kind of toy. Angora is glad to play any opportunity to play, especially with the owner. But if he hides the toy or removes it in an inaccessible place, then the cat will show miracles of ingenuity and stubbornness in attempts to get his trophy. At the same time, she will not calm down until she has the toy again.
Turkish Angora tolerates loneliness very poorly. And, if the owner knows in advance that he will be forced to leave the cat alone for a long time, he should think about the acquisition of the second cat, which will be just as active and will be able to provide Turkish Angora with the communication so necessary for it.
Many cat owners of this breed are surprised to find that their pets are happy to bathe in water. They swim perfectly and completely do not feel fear of this element. But it should be understood that, although this is characteristic of most Turkish Angoras, there are exceptions.
Care
These cats do not have fluffy undercoat, like most representatives of longhaired rocks. Therefore, their wool does not require any complex care and significant efforts. It is enough to comb the cat once a week.
In addition, Turkish Angoras are very clean, and bathing is not mandatory for them. But if a cat loves water, then he can set up herself to lie in a sink or in a bath, especially in hot weather.
Conditions of detention
Turkish Angoras are very active. In addition, they love the height and jump perfectly. That’s why they need their own, specially equipped place in the house where they can calmly climb, jump and play. Otherwise, for these purposes, they will use furniture and all the surfaces that are only.
These cats should have toys, which they will be happy to hunt. As a rule, they like the fluffy toy copies of real mice most. And if the mouse will work from batteries and run as real, then the cat will not be enthusiastic. In a word, the main task of the owner is to provide the cat with the desired level of activity. Then she will be calm and affectionate.
