Brief information
Character
Turkish van a very energetic breed. These cats love to run, jump, climb and generally behave in the house very actively. They are born hunters strong and dexterous. They also love to play and happily occupy themselves, hunting for paper figures or toy mice from a pet store.
One gets the impression that Vanas, in comparison with other breeds, are sleeping very little, but this impression is still deceptive.

These are very affectionate cats. Usually from the whole family they distinguish one person who is considered their master. With him they can behave like dogs: they will try to be nearby all the time or choose such a position that this person is in their field of vision.
Cats of this breed can be accustomed to walking on a leash, but you should not wait for them to be happy to master any commands-it depends solely on the desire and mood of the cat. Although I must admit that Vans are very curious and quickly learn, including opening various doors and cabinets.
It is believed that Turkish vans are very tender and sociable cats. However, they do not really like to sit in their arms. They demonstrate their independent disposition and come to the owner only when they want communication by himself, and not the owner.
Also, cats of this breed do not tolerate loneliness, and therefore desperately need the company and distracting classes.
It is worth keeping in mind that Turkish van is a very wayward cat, so it is not recommended to leave it alone with young children. Despite the fact that these animals are not inclined to manifest aggression, the cat can give a change to the child if he, in her opinion, exceeded the permissible limits of behavior.
Cats of this breed love water, and they cannot be left unattended when the owner fills the bath: it is likely that the pet will arrange a swim for himself.
Care
The Turkish vanas have no undercoat. Their coat is not confused, and therefore it is easy to cure it: it is enough to pay attention to this issue once a week and comb out the cat.
There is one more point that one must not forget about this is a timely cutting of claws: they quickly grow and interfere with the cat.

Conditions of detention
Dealing with the Turkish van, the owner actually deals with the eternal engine. These cats are truly very active, and not everyone can withstand such an onslaught. Therefore, it is very important that the cat has the opportunity to occupy itself without harm to the surrounding space.

If the owner has the opportunity to organize a green corner for a cat or ensure walks in the aviary, the cat will perceive these little jungle very positively.
