There are a huge number of birds around the world. Different species are accustomed to certain weather and climate conditions. Some inhabit their habitat all year round, while others are migratory birds. If in big cities nature has changed a lot and only pigeons, sparrows and crows have settled there, then in the countryside, villages, settlements and not densely populated areas the nature has remained relatively untouched. For example, in the Far East there are many relict species which have survived thanks to the fact that many nature reserves have been established there.
However, many bird species are on the verge of extinction. These species are found in a wide variety of habitats, from the Arctic to deserts and semi-deserts.
