Mischievous and very active cats that are interested in everything that happens in the house. Because of their curiosity, you can never be sure of the safety of dishes or vases in the house. For the same reason, Devon Reds walk around the tables and other forbidden places and look everywhere. They are distinguished by excellent jumping, so do not be surprised if at some point the pet suddenly appears on the refrigerator or on the closet.

Devon Rnces are friendly and will find a common language with all the inhabitants in the house, whether it be children, dogs, other cats or parrots. They love society very much and suffer from loneliness. At the same time, they will always find what to do with themselves, and come up with toys from any, even not at all suitable objects for these purposes.

Have excellent appetite and do not disdain theft of food from the table. They do not deliver special problems to the owners and do not annoy others with annoying cries, because they do not know how to make loud sounds. In addition, cats of this breed do not mark the territory, and cats calmly tolerate the periods of sexual activity.

    Care

Particular attention should be paid to the care of wool: it is quite tender for representatives of this breed, so you need to choose a delicate brush. Devon Rexes are practically not subject to molting, but sometimes excess fluff comes off from them, which can be removed by drawing with a damp hand along the wool.

You should take care of the ears-they have Devon Ruses not only large and unusual in shape, but also open, which increases the likelihood of various infections. For prevention purposes, it is worth cleaning them once a week and washing them with a special lotion, and in the case of even minor discharge, you must immediately consult a doctor.

    Conditions of detention

Due to the short wool, cats of this breed like to be warm-sleep near the battery or heater, wrap it in a blanket. Therefore, so that the pet does not freeze, it is necessary to monitor the temperature regime in the apartment and equip it with a warm place to sleep.

These cats have a very delicate digestive tract, in addition, representatives of this breed are prone to obesity, so we must carefully monitor the amount of feed consumed by the pet and its calorie content.
