  • Character

Beaver Yorkshire Terrier is a young breed of dogs that came from the Yorkshire Terrier and differing from it by appearance. These dogs fell in love with many connoisseurs of miniature breeds with their emotionality and exorbitant sense of dignity, and sometimes superiority.

Correctly trained Beaver York is a wonderful family member that brings only positive emotions. When these dogs have a good mood, they can amuse the whole family, doing something funny. If the beaver’s mood is not the best, he can grumble at the owners, showing him all his appearance how he is unhappy.

York beaver can be wayward, so these little dogs need to show from the first days who is the master in the house, otherwise they will become capricious and uncontrollable. Due to their charming appearance and small sizes, these terriers often get what they want, even that is prohibited by large dogs. If you teach and show the biver his place in the “flock” in time, then the owner will not have to fight bad behavior.

Yorki Beaver is somewhat aggressive to other dogs and pets. This is especially dangerous in that they do not realize their size and can climb into an unequal fight for those who are several times higher in growth and weight. For this reason, they must be socialized and accustomed to communication from an early age.

This is not to say that the Beaver Yorka is easily lending on training. However, in patient and reliable hands, these dogs will be able to avoid the development of the “small dog syndrome”, in which miniature animals become neurotic and it is difficult to live with them. This syndrome develops among pets through the fault of owners who do not perceive a small creature as a fullfledged dog and refuse to train it and allow to fully communicate with larger relatives.

Miniature Beaver Yorkshire Terriers is not the best choice for families with preschool children. A small child still does not know how to control his actions and can accidentally harm a small pet. But families in which there are schoolage children, active and funny beaver are perfect.

    Care

The Beaver Yorkshire Terrier can suffer from some health problems, including hereditary. The most common include hypoglycemia, the dislocation of the knee joint and Pertes’s disease (osteochondropathy of the femoral head).

Long silky wool Beaver York requires a lot of time and effort from the owner. Daily combing will help get rid of dirt and prevent the formation of stiffons. If you want your dog’s wool to be long, it will have to be washed weekly, because it will come into contact with the ground and get dirty faster. For this reason, many owners prefer to make home short haircuts to their pets, which greatly simplify wool care.

    Conditions of detention

Yorki Beaver are extremely mobile. If you have a fenced courtyard or garden, there will be no problems with a surge of the pet energy: just release the dog to run over.

Bevers can live perfectly in the apartment, provided that they have enough space for active pastime. The absence of appropriate physical exercises can make the dog nervous.
