  • Brief information

  • Another name of the breed is the Hungarian Shepherd. Outwardly, it looks very unusual due to long wool, the strands of which hang to the ground;
  • Comondor is one of the most expensive dog breeds in the world;
  • By nature, this is a wonderful guard who will protect both his family and the territory, without waiting for the corresponding team from the owner.
  • Character

    A mosque is a smart, observant and smart dog. Modern representatives of the breed are kind and affectionate pets, which are devoted to the owner and are good about children. But to other pets and outsiders, they can show aggression. Moreover, to protect his territory and protect the family in which he lives, the comondor will be, regardless of the desire or unwillingness of the owner.

    Since this is a pet with a character, he needs a calm and confident owner who can earn the respect of the animal. The komondor is a very obedient, balanced and peaceful dog, but if some order or team seems strange or incomprehensible to her, then she simply will not fulfill them. In the family, Komondor does not strive for leadership, calm and flexible. Easily lends itself to training, although it is somewhat slow, so training should be started from an early age.

    Representatives of this breed are very hardy, they love active games and need serious physical exertion. But boredom and prolonged loneliness can negatively affect their behavior.

    The main problem in care is wool. Until two years, she does not confuse cords and does not require special care. And as the pet grows older, the wool becomes long and very thick, and caring for it requires a lot of time and patience. It is impossible to comb the coins of the boat, instead, the hair should be manually disassembled on strands, only then they will retain the appearance and will not fall off. This is a difficult procedure that requires attention and concentration.

    Washing, and then drying the coosondora wool is quite difficult, so you should not carry out water procedures too often. Drying a pet without a hairdryer can take two days, for this reason it is recommended to wash the dog in the summer of the year. In the rainy and dirty weather, it is better to wear a pet in the jumpsuit: the dog will not get dirty much on a walk, and at home it will be enough to wash the paws.

    Twice a year in the fall and spring the cocktails have molting, but there is not very much wool at that time, besides it does not smell like. Once a year you can trim the wool of the pet, leaving strands 20-25 centimeters long. If they do not shorten them, wool can grow to the ground, which is very inconvenient and unaesthetic.

    Particular attention should be paid to the care of the ears and eyes: the dirt that accumulates on the wool can get into them and cause inflammation. This must be monitored and, if possible, prevent.

    Conditions of detention

    Comondor can be kept in an apartment if from childhood to accustom it to the society of people and dogs. But the best conditions for him will be a country house with a fenced territory. And a mosondor can spend the night on the street.
