Caucasian toad

E amphibians live in mountain forests to the subalpine belt. Individuals are quite large, the length of the body of the toad can reach 19 cm. The skin has large rounded tubercles (especially large growths are on the back). Discharge from the upper layer of the epidermis are poisonous. Bades of amphibians can be grayish or yellowish in color. As a rule, males are much smaller than females and they have marriage corns located on the first fingers of the front limbs.

This type of amphibian has the status of “contracting”. Frogs grow small and look elegant. The representative of the family of the hairless lives in wet mountainleaved forests having a thick undergrowth. The frog is trying to be inconspicuous, careful, especially active in the dark. From above, representatives of the hairless have an olive or gray-sand skin tone, often diluted with a spotted pattern. Reed toads do not swim well and cannot jump high.

Belong to one of the smallest, as they grow up to 12 cm. The ordinary triton has smooth or fine-grained skin of red, blue-green or yellow. The location of the second teeth resembles parallel lines. A feature of amphibians is a dark longitudinal strip passing through the eyes. Triton molt occurs every week. Males have a comb that grows in the marriage and is an additional respiratory organ. The body of male individuals is covered with dark spots. The life expectancy of amphibians is 20-28 years.

Syrian garlic (Pelobates Syriacus)

The habitat of the Syrian garlic are the shores of keys, streams, small rivers. E amphibians have smooth skin, large convex eyes of a golden hue. As a rule, females grow more males. The maximum length of individuals is 82 mm. At the same time, garlic can be exploded into the ground to a depth of 15 cm. You can meet unique animals listed in the Red Book in arable land, bushy and semidesert areas, light forests and dunes. On the back of the amphibians there are large spots of brownish-green shade or yellowish background. Hind legs have membranes with large cuts.

Triton Karelin lives in mountainous and forestry. During reproduction, tailed can move to swamps, ponds, semiperch ponds and lakes. The representative of amphibians has a massive body covered with dark brown large spots. Individuals grow up to 130 mm, and in the marriage period it begins to grow a low crest with Zazubins. Tyton’s beluts have a bright yellow, sometimes red color. This part of the body is irregular in shape and sometimes black spots appear on it. The striped Triton prefers to be at an altitude up to 2750 m above sea level. Amphibians love water and feed on crustacean insects, mollusks, larvae. The Asia Minor Triton has a wide tail, smooth or slightly granular skin, long fingers and limbs. In the wedding period, males stand out with a high jagged comb, interrupted near the tail. Individuals have bronze-olive with dark spots of the color of the back, a silver strip decorated with black lines. The belly in most cases is orange-yellow, it has no spots. Females are painted almost monophonic, less males grow (up to 15 cm).

Ussuri clawed triton (ONYCHODACTYLUS FISCHERI)

Tagged amphibians grow to 150 mm and weigh no more than 13.7 g. In the warm season, individuals are under stones, snags, in a variety of shelters. At night, the newtons are active on land and in water. Adult carriers have a brownish or light brown color with dark spots. A feature of the appearance of amphibians is a unique light pattern located on the back. The body is decorated with grooves on the sides. Ussuri newtons have a long tail of a cylindrical shape and small conical teeth. Lungs in individuals are absent. On the hind limbs of amphibians, there are five fingers, on the front four.
