Many people have lost respect for nature, they treat it only with consumer interest. If this continues, then humanity will destroy nature, and therefore themselves. To avoid this catastrophe, it is necessary for people from early childhood to instill a love for animals, plants, learn how to properly use natural resources, that is, conduct environmental education. It should become part of education, culture and economics.
At the moment, the state of the environment can be described as a global ecological crisis. Having understood the mechanism of interaction between man and nature, as well as the fact that uncontrolled anthropogenic activity leads to the destruction of the natural resources of the planet, one should rethink a lot of things.
Ecological education at home
The child begins to explore the world in the conditions of his home. The way the home environment is arranged, the child will perceive as an ideal. In this context, the attitude of parents to nature is important: how they will treat animals and plants, so the baby will copy their actions. As for the careful attitude to natural resources, children should be taught to save water and other benefits. It is necessary to cultivate a culture of nutrition, to eat everything that parents give, and not to throw away leftovers, since several thousand people die of hunger every year in the world.
Environmental education in the education system
In this area, environmental education depends on teachers and lecturers. Here it is important to teach the child not only to appreciate nature, to repeat after the teacher, but it is also important to develop thinking, to give an awareness of what nature is for a person, why it should be valued. Only when the child will independently and consciously protect natural resources, plant plants, throw garbage into the trash, even when no one sees or praises him, then the mission of environmental education will be fulfilled.
However, this would ideally. At the moment, there are significant problems in educating love for nature. Practically no attention is paid to this aspect in educational programs. Moreover, the child needs to be interested, inspired, approach the problem in a non-standard way, then the children will be able to feel it. The biggest problem of environmental education is still not contained in education, but in family relationships and home education, so parents should become more responsible and help children realize the value of nature.
