Environmental problems of the Sea of Japan

The Sea of Japan is located on the edge of the Pacific Ocean. It washes the shores of Japan and Eurasia, China and Korea, being the economic zone of these states. Since the reservoir has the same environmental problems as other seas of the planet, the government of these countries is taking various actions to preserve the nature of the sea. The impact on the hydraulic system of people in different areas is not the same.

Water pollution

The main environmental problem of the Sea of Japan is water pollution. It is carried out by the drain of domestic and industrial waters. The hydraulic system is negatively affected by the industry of the following areas:

  • mechanical engineering;
  • chemical industry;
  • electric power industry;
  • metalworking;
  • coal industry.
  • Before draining water into the sea, it must be cleaned of harmful elements, fuels, phenols, pesticides, heavy metals and other pollutants.

    Not the last place in the list of hazardous activities that negatively affect the ecology of the Sea of Japan is oil production and processing. Leakage of a substance can occur as a result of oil transportation by tankers. In the event of a spill, the oil stain must be cleaned up as soon as possible. The life of many species of flora and fauna, entire food chains will depend on this.

    Enterprises discharge polluted water into the Zolotoy Bereg, Amur and Ussuri bays. Dirty waters come from various cities.

    Environmentalists are fighting to install purifying filters that should be used to treat wastewater before it is dumped into rivers and seas.

    chemical pollution

    Scientists examined water samples from the Sea of Japan. Scientific tests have shown that the water contains a huge amount of ammonium nitrogen, chemical compounds of the agricultural industry. Last but not least, acid rain. Compounds of zinc, manganese, copper, iron, lead were found in the composition of water. These elements have led to a high level of water pollution.

    The Sea of Japan is a valuable natural resource exploited by various countries. The main environmental problems depend on the fact that people dump untreated water into rivers and the sea, which causes great damage to the hydraulic system, algae and marine life die. If you do not tighten the penalties for sea pollution, unauthorized activities of some enterprises, then the reservoir will be dirty, fish and other inhabitants of the sea will die in it.
