Grenade ordinary is a longterm bush or tree, which is often found in conditions of subtropical climate. The yield lasts approximately 50-60 years, after which the old landings are replaced by young plants.

  • flowers are quite large, since their diameter reaches 2-3 centimeters. They can be single, or assembled in bunches. The color is predominantly bright red, but white or yellowish flowers are also found. The number of petals varies from 5 to 7;
  • fruits resemble berries, spherical or elongated. In color, they are red or brown, and can also have different sizes up to 18 centimeters in diameter. The fetus is surrounded by a nonweed peel, but there are numerous seeds inside, and they, in turn, are covered with edible juicy pulp. It is worth noting that the grenade on average has more than 1,200 seeds.
  • Flowering occurs from May to August, and the ripening of fruits is observed in September and ends in November.
