This is a small mammal that belongs to Kunem. These are quite popular pets. Honorik was bred by crossing the European mink with a forest and steppe ferret. This happened in 1978. In Eurasia alone, these animals are called Honoriki, in all other countries they are called fritters.

Appearance

Honorik is very similar to his fellow ferret. The animal has a very flexible body, a long neck and tail. The average weight of adult honorik can range from 400 g to 2, 5 kg. The growth of the mammal on average is 50 cm. The head of this representative of the kunih is small. The eyes are also quite small, their iris has a brown color. The animal’s chin is white, on the neck he has white stripes. Honorik has a mustache. The hairline is dense, similar to sable.

Poppy the mammal usually brown. The limbs are not very long, but they allow Honorik to move at high speed. The length of the tail varies from 15 to 20 cm, the wool on it is very fluffy.

These animals can adapt to any climate change. In winter, they are tightly wrapped in fur, which does not allow to freeze, and in the summer they are fed. It is interesting that in the winter, their metabolism is slower.

In the summer, Honorics weigh less, they have practically no fat layer, but closer to winter they gain weight and grow wool.

For about 5 years, Honoriki live in the will of Honorics, but if the animal is domesticated and lives with people, it can live to 10-12 years old.

Where it lives

Honorics were bred artificially, so it is almost impossible to meet them in nature. But sometimes you can meet these mammals in the south and in the center of Eurasia, in Western Europe and Asia. You can see them in Ukraine, in Moldova and Romania, the Czech Republic and Poland. They prefer forests and places near reservoirs. Honorics create holes in which most of the time. Animals swim perfectly, because in the summer they are often in water.

In captivity of omnivorous, it is worth maintaining in a cage where you need to lay a blanket. Honorics love warm places where there are no draft. It is easy to accustom animals to the tray, they also remember the place of feeding well.

The mammal should be released from the cage several times a day, but they are very agile, because at such moments it is better to monitor the honorics. They easily hide in the most inaccessible places, can go inside the washing machine for the sake of interest.

What eats

Honorics eat both food of plant origin and meat. They prefer to eat mice, toads and frogs, fish and locusts with grasshoppers. Sometimes they can even hunt hares. Domesticated chonorics are often fed eggs, vegetables and fish. If there is no time to develop a diet, they are given food from the pet store. It is impossible to feed them smoked and salty food animals can die.

This omnivorous needs a lot of water. Usually it is poured into a drinker, and if this is not done, the water will be spilled throughout the cage. So that the beast is not poisoned, the remaining food is immediately removed from the cage.

Lifestyle

Honorik is a predator, so it is often aggressive. Because of this, you should not settle it in a house with babies. They can hunt other pets such as rats and hamsters. But at the same time, Honorics get along with dogs.

Animals willingly play with households, do not like to spend time alone. Domestic Honorics usually do not distinguish musk for threat, but wild individuals when there is a danger, always do this with glands of anus.

These representatives of the Kunih are very smart, they are easy to look. With poor health, animals cooed. To express dissatisfaction, they hiss and snort. If Honorik is in danger, he screams loudly. And to find out that the animal is hungry, the squeak that it makes will help.

Usually teaching females is easier than males. However, the latter show great devotion to the owner. A negative character trait of Honorik is perseverance. The predator will demand the fulfillment of all his desires immediately.

It is impossible to wean Honorik from the destruction of wires and pots with flowers, therefore it is worth forbidden to do this immediately.

Natural enemies

Wolves and jackals, lynxes and snakes often hunt these predators. They can become a tidbit for hawk and falcon. Often, the enemies of Honorikov manage to catch sick individuals and young animals.

Diseases

Domestic individuals can get steamed enteritis and rabies, plague plague. To prevent infection, animals are vaccinated and included in the diet of vitamin additives. If Honorik is still infected, you should take him to the veterinarian and do not try to treat him on his own. These predators often have fleas, which are easy to remove for cats for cats.

Reproduction

Honorics are a hybrid look, because males cannot fertilize females. Female individuals are usually crossed with ferrets. The marriage period starts in the spring and ends in the fall. The knitting passes violently. The male often haunts the female individual and drags it to a secluded place. In the process of mating, the female usually wants to break free, but then the chokee bites her and tears the withers.

The female bores cubs for about a month and a half. Before childbirth, she is isolated from the male, because he can harm the cubs. Usually 2 cubs are born, they come into the light of blind. Young animals grow quite quickly, a month after birth they begin to eat meat.
