Where it lives
Indochina tiger can be found both in the southeast of Asia and in China. A huge number of individuals inhabit Thailand. In particular Huaikhakhang. Small populations are found in Mekong and the Aesch Mountains. Now the habitat is extending from Than Hoa to the north-east of Cambodia.
Predators are fully hosted in tropical forests, where humidity reaches high rates. Forests are on the slopes of the mountains. These tigers love to hide in mangroves. With an ideal set of circumstances, 10 tigers lives per 100 km2. But today’s world makes its own adjustments and there are 4 tigers for the same area. Moreover, individuals prefer areas where there are a lot of production. Usually these are forests with an abundance of thickets and swamps. But there should be meadows nearby.
Due to the fact that agricultural agricultural lands are located close to people, Indochina tigers have to live in endless forests and plains, where there is almost no food. More suitable places for these predators exist, but they remained only in the northern territories of Indochina and in the Cardamonian mountains.
What eats
Indochinese tigers feed on cattle. But due to the poaching and proximity of habitats to people, the population of predators is reduced. Tigers are also eating boars and sulfur, deer with porcupines, monkeys with Gaura, pork badger. In places with a bad feed base, tigers can eat both fish and birds, sometimes carrion. However, this tigram is not enough.
These animals need approximately 7-10 kg of production per day.
Reproduction
Males outside the reproduction period almost do not in contact with female individuals, and females raise their babies. Each tiger has its own territory and it protects it from others, but sometimes females live together with the male. They marry the area with the help of Zarubok on trees and urine.
Individuals mate at any time of the year, but the peak falls on the period from November to April. Males prefer females that live nearby. There are clashes between the males. Tigers that are ready to mate begin to growl loudly, which attract the attention of females.
When the female has a prick, the couple spends together all the time. Couples walk together and hunting. The future mother equips the “house” in some inaccessible place closer to the appearance of kittens. If the female was mated with several tigers, the cubs will have different fathers.
Kids begin to hunt on their own from 1.5 years old. Some at this age are already leaving the family and live alone. Females most often remain with mothers 2 times longer than males. They leave only when they reach puberty, that is, at 3-4 years old.
Natural enemies
Young individuals can be attacked by a crocodile or porcupine, sometimes even their father. Sometimes tigers kill their cubs so that the female has an estrus and she can mate again.
The most important enemy of the Indochina tiger is a person. So, in folk Chinese medicine, the torso of the predator along with all organs is very appreciated it is believed that their eating can cure almost all diseases. The drugs from the parts of the body of the tiger are many times more expensive than drugs. But the tigers take revenge for this, wandering into the village and stealing cattle.
Security
Huaikhahheng has a national park, where since 2004 experts have been increasing the population of the type. At the moment, 60 tigers live there. Scientists monitor the life cycles of predators with the help of fixed assets, which increases the chances of survival of the species.
