Kimrika cannot be confused with any other breed of cats, except with their closest relatives the Manks. Although the latter are shorthaired. For a long time it was believed that the Kimrian cat is the same Munch, but with long hair, and only in the 1980s Canadian breeders achieved Kimrik’s recognition as a separate species.
Representatives of this breed are amazing cats. Outwardly, they look like a bear: a round muzzle, a stocky body, a long thick wool and a small tail or its absence. Impressive and running kimrik. Cats of this breed have developed hind legs, which are noticeably longer than the front. Due to this genetic feature, Kimrik’s running more resembles the jumping of a hare or rabbit.
Charming appearance corresponds to the nature of the Kimrian cat. She is kind, cheerful and friendly. Kimrik will not release claws and will not rush on the attack for no reason. In addition, these cats are attached to a person, but do not bother him and do not require constant attention to themselves. They are quite independent and independent.
Kimrik easily gets along with other animals, including dogs. With children, these pets quickly find a common language and become best friends. True, the excessive activity of the kids can tire the animal. In this case, Kimrik will try to calmly leave the game.
Representatives of the breed belong to those cats who love water, especially if they accustom them to care procedures from childhood. In addition, they are famous for the ability to jump in height. In this they can even compete with the Kuril Bobtail, which is known for its jumping.
Cimrics have thick long wool. This means that they need more careful care than the Manksam. Once a week, using a special brush, the cat must be combed, removing the dropped hairs. And during the molting period, this procedure must be repeated every two to three days.
Since kimriki love water, there will be no problems with hygiene. But do not buy a cat too often, especially if it does not go outside. Water procedures should be carried out as necessary, using special shampoos for longhaired animals.
Conditions of detention
Kimrik can walk on a slope under the supervision of the owner. Otherwise, the friendliness, kindness and sociability of this cat can play a cruel joke with her.
Kimrik’s nutrition should be balanced. Choose highquality food that will satisfy the needle’s need for vitamins and minerals. It is also important to monitor the activity of the cat and its physical form.
Cimrics are quite complicated in breeding. To get healthy kittens (without abnormalities of back development), the breeder must very carefully select parents. Only as a result of the correct combination are healthy and strong animals born.
