Kyzylkum desert on the map of the world where it is, animals and plants

On the territory of Uzbekistan there is another arid region (land with arid climate) of our planet – Sand-stone Kyzylkum. The territory of the desert is located on three hundred thousand square kilometers and has a small slope.

Translated from the Uzbek language, the name Kyzylkum or Kyzyl-Kum – Red sands. This is one of the few deserts of the world that is well mastered by man.

Climate

The climate in the desert is sharp. The summer temperature is on average at around 30 degrees, and the maximum can reach above 50 degrees. Winter is less severe and the average temperature in the first month of the year rarely drops below the mark minus nine degrees.

No more than two hundred millimeters per year falls off, the bulk of which falls at the end of the winter and the beginning of the spring period.

Plants

Flora Kyzyl-Kuma is quite diverse, especially in the spring, when the soil is most moisturized. Bright representatives of this desert: wild tulips, ephemeers that ripen in just a few weeks (and in desert conditions — it is very important);

The mammalian class is represented by the following views: Jayran (a small antelope weighing up to 33 kg); Earth Asian Squirrel (mainly lives on marching and sandy hills); wolf; spotted cat, which appeared approximately 130 thousand. years ago; the bats; Steppe fox – Corsac.
