The history of the Lancashire Heeler is full of mysteries. It is believed that the official breeding of the breed began in the 1970s. Welsh corgis and Manchester terriers were used in the selection, they are today their closest relatives. However, some scientists are convinced that the real ancestors of the healers lived on the British Isles several hundred years ago, but, alas, they died out.
One way or another, the Lancashire Heeler was registered in the International Cynological Federation quite recently in 2016, and on an experimental basis.

The Lancashire Heeler, despite its small size, needs long walks around the city. The more active and diverse the physical exercises, the better. The healer can safely be offered fetching and various running workouts. A tired pet will thank you.
