The Moscow dragon is a small dog that looks like a mongrel. Because of the sparse hair, she looks disheveled. Mandatory signs of the breed are a mustache, a beard and a protruding “comb” of long hairs, which makes it look like dragons, as artists depict them.
This breed (it is still called a breed group) is very young. Her ancestor lived in the 88th year. It was a mongrel picked up by cynologist Zoya Kostyna on the street. Having raised a puppy, the cynologist was fascinated by an interesting type of coat in a pet. So it was decided to bring the Moscow dragon.
For the first time, dragons began to take part in exhibitions by the 2000s. Before that, breeders developed requirements for the breed. Many of them were captivated by the unpretentiousness of these dogs, bred from mongrels (sometimes dogs selected by breeders on the street and outwardly meeting the signs of the Moscow dragon participated in the breeding of the breed group).
Representatives of the breed are distinguished not only by enviable health, but also by excellent mental balance. In addition, the owners of Moscow dragons noticed that their pets have common character traits. So, for example, all dragons are very loyal. At the same time, they are not at all suckers dragons are wary of strangers.
If you decide to buy a Moscow dragon puppy, be prepared for the fact that he can growl at foreign dogs and even try to attack them. However, do not worry if you have another dragon or a dog of a different breed at home. Moscow dragons cherish and protect members of their family.
Despite its funny appearance and modest size, the dragon needs education. Otherwise, the owner will not have time to look back, as the dog will be at the head of the family hierarchy, and this should never be allowed.
The Moscow dragon is well trained, he quickly learns new commands. Therefore, it is quite easy to educate and maintain him.
Care
Dragons are easy to care for. It is enough for owners to brush their pets once a week. And during the autumn and spring molting, dragons need trimming.
Bathing the Moscow dragon is enough once a month experts do not recommend doing this more often. But the nails should be trimmed every 3-4 weeks.
Conditions of detention
The owners of Moscow dragons note that these dogs love to run and generally spend time actively. It is advisable to diversify walks with training, develop a pet with games.
This dog is equally comfortable living both in a large house, which she will be happy to guard, and in a city apartment. Dragon is perfect for people living in small spaces. This is facilitated by the diminutiveness of the dragon, and its hard coat it almost does not shed. In addition, the Moscow dragon quickly gets used to being alone, and while the owner is at work, the pet just sleeps. And such addictions as unreasonable barking or damage to things are not typical for representatives of this breed.
