Endoloma is poisonous (lat. Entoloma sinuatum) is a poisonous mushroom from the genus of entolom. Is the largest representative of the family. Toxins do not pose a fatal threat, but cause diarrhea, diarrhea and other disorders of the digestive system. It is strictly not recommended to eat this mushroom, because in addition to abdominal pain, complications are possible that can make you disabled.

Appearance

The hat in diameter grows up to thirty centimeters, such a figure even sounds terribly, because mushrooms of such sizes are practically not found. The form at a young age is semisphere, resembles a bell, and over time it is revealed and becomes completely flat. Closer to old age can even become compressive, and not necessarily in the center. The color is different, but mainly white, milk, cream or beige, in general, light and soft shades prevail. The hat to the touch is glossy, but after rains it emits a plentiful amount of mucus and becomes sticky.

The leg is also far from modest in size: the length is up to fifteen centimeters in height and about five in diameter. The form is cylindrical, but all sorts of curvatures are possible. The leg expands closer to the base. Its surface is painted in the same colors as the hat, but in more adulthood it loses its brightness and becomes gray or brown. Plates are wide, can be dirty yellow or pink. The central part is lighter than the edges. The pulp during incision or pressure does not change the color, does not emit the liquid. The flour smell comes from it.

Where it grows

The poisonous entolom grows up, but often it can be seen in small colonies. It is found in many places and latitudes, but in Eurasia it was seen in only a few regions: Karelia, Murmansk, South of Siberia and the North Caucasus. The habitat is not limited to this, because many copies are found in Ukraine, Holland, France and even Austria. Mikoriza prefers to perform with oaks, but cases of symbiosis with birches and willow were seen.

Even in the name itself, you can see that the entolom contains poison. Because of this, it is not recommended to eat it strictly for food.
