Description

Russian hazel grouse refers to onion plants, reaches 55-65 cm in height. The heads of the flower are always lowered down, most often they have a red-dark color, white-flowering hazel grouse are less common. The flower does not have a pleasant aroma, but it has not very noticeable specks that give the plant a special charm. Under the inflorescences of plants there are beautiful leaves, they have sharp twisted ends and turn around around larger sheets. The flowers have six petals, on one plant on average is from two to five flowering.

Reproduction

Russian hazel grouse is able to multiply in several ways. Gardeners often use propagation division. Methods of plant propagation:

  1. Seeds. The seeds of plants are collected after completely drying the “boxes” of the hazel grouse and immediately plant them in the ground. The distance between the stands should be about 10 cm. The seeds are watered with water and filled with peat thickness a few centimeters. After such a propagation, the plant will begin to bloom only after 6 years.
  2. Children. The onion of the hazel grouse is not often formed by the children, but they are well separated from the main bulb and conveniently planted in the soil in the fall. They also need to be watered and filled with a small layer of peat.
  3. Separating the flower bulbs. The flower can also be propagated independently by cutting the bulb with a knife. To do this, it is cut into several parts and left to dry out cuts. With this propagation, the first flowering is received next year.

Do not plant the plant on waterlogged soil, as this can provoke the disease of the bulbs. When planning a landing, keep in mind that the plant does not tolerate drafts. Despite the beauty and endurance in comparison with other species of plants, the Russian hazel grouse is not often found in the gardens and in the gardens of lovers. In addition to beautiful bells that will delight every passing one, it is important to remember that the on bulbs of the plant frighten out the ground and bear, so they are not at all damaged by ground pests. This allows not only to save the plant itself, but also protect flowers living nearby.

The use of hazel grouse
