Owls and vipers are typical representatives of the reptile class, which live on almost all continents. Some of them are safe and nonamateurous, while others, on the contrary, are poisonous, but are not fatal (in most cases).

The similarities of two types of reptiles

The general characteristics of these two representatives of the reptile detachment include:

  • Both species belong to representatives of the same class,
  • Both, and vipers are sometimes able to possess similar shades in color (usually it is dark or black),
  • prefer in the same habitat and are quite widespread in almost all climatic zones,
  • Both types are characterized by the presence of winter hibernation,
  • reptiles differ approximately the same body parameters,
  • have similar tastes regarding the diet (usually small rodents and amphibians, sometimes even birds),
  • calmly appear in the daytime.
  • Characteristics of the vipers

    The main features of the viper are:

  • Appearance.
  • This reptile does not differ in large sizes, and the largest of them can reach only 50 cm. These snakes are characterized by very diverse options for colors: from gray to dark and purple. Some representatives of this species have a black zigzag on the entire body on their backs. The body of the viper is thick, the tail is rounded, and the muzzle is triangular.

  • Habitat.
  • Vipers prefer to eat mice, therefore their environment is usually limited to forest areas, where there is an opportunity to hunt and hide in thickets. In captivity, these snakes refuse food and quickly die from exhaustion.

  • Character.
  • The viper is quite an aggressive snake, and if it provoke it, it can attack, although she prefers to stay away from danger. These snakes are very vindictive, not taking into account the dimensions of the offender, and can even fight their shadow.

  • Appearance.
  • Owls are large reptiles, and some of them are capable of reaching a size of about 150 cm, but, as a rule, their average size is about 75 cm. Typically, these snakes are painted in gray and black tones, but sometimes it can be olive shades with mandatory spots in a checkerboard pattern. A distinctive feature of these snakes is the presence of stains on the head (from bright yellow to light and orange tone) located in the ears and obtained called “yellow ears”. It is already distinguished by an oval shape of the head, a thin tail and the absence of toxic glands.

  • Habitat.
  • Owls prefer dampness and are waterfowl, so these snakes can be found near water bodies, but the main reason for choosing such a habitat is the diet: the frogs prefer frogs. These reptiles are able to penetrate the gardens and hide in holes. The coats are calmly tamed and easily adapt to any living conditions.

  • Character.
  • Are not aggressive at all, and will never attack. It’s easier for him to pretend to be dead, or scare away the enemy with a pungent smell.

    Differences of vipers and unsi

    Based on the characteristics of these two reptiles, they differ:

  • Body and head shape, as well as size,
  • The presence of distinctive features in color (we are talking about Terries),
  • Poisonous glands and teeth,
  • Preferences in the environment (forests or water bodies), as well as the preferred diet,
  • Attitude to captivity in captivity,
  • The aggressiveness of character, and, therefore, the danger at the time of the attack.
