These cats are very much attached to all households, behave with them affectionately and friendly. At the same time, they subtly feel the mood of the owner and instantly become more tender than usual if they see that he is upset by something. They will never play if he does not want to, and will not wake up in the morning to demand breakfast. They easily learn the family regime, established rules and prohibitions.
These are very manual animals that suffer greatly from loneliness and can even get sick because of a long separation from the owner. They will never impose their society, but they will calmly wait for the owner at the door. If there is no one at home for a long time, you should think about getting another cat: together they will definitely not be bored.
Because of their soft nature, representatives of this breed get along well with children, allow them to pranks, which react calmly and are not offended. Easily find contact with other pets in the house.
Care
Since the Ural Rex is a breed that appeared naturally, its representatives do not suffer from genetic diseases. They are quite unpretentious in care, have good immunity and resistance to colds.
Due to the unusual structure, wool can fall into lumps, so it must be carefully monitored and regularly combed and even pluck it, especially during molting. And to give the coat of shine, a cat can be stroked with silk or suede fabric.
These cats have very sensitive and thin skin, which easily dry and peels off, which is why you should carefully choose hygiene products, and do not abuse bathing. In addition, the pet may allergies to detergents, so shampoo should be selected hypoallergenic. If the pet participates in exhibitions, it is advisable to wash it two weeks before the event.
The Urals Rexes are unpretentious in food and have good appetite, so you should control the size of the portions consumed in order to prevent the obesity of the pet.
Conditions of detention
Representatives of this breed do not need any special conditions of content, they feel great in the apartment and do not need walks. The main thing is not to leave them alone for a long time, but even in this case you can not worry: even suffering from longing, the Urals will never arrange a mess in the house and will not take revenge on the owner.
