Big Anglo-French Red-Pigi Hound, like many dogs of this group of breeds, was bred at the end of the 19th century. At that time, hunting was one of the most popular entertainment among aristocrats. And new types of hunting dogs were displayed by crossing the best representatives of European hounds.
The ancestors of the Big Anglo-French Ryzhe-Pieg Gonchi were English Foxhaund and French Hound. Interestingly, the breeders themselves assure: the features of British ancestor are more clearly traced in her character.
Big Anglo-French Red-Peti Hound-a confident hunting dog. It is extremely rare as a companion: pronounced hunting skills and the need for constant physical exertion affect.
Representatives of the breed are independent, and sometimes too stubborn and independent. This is especially traced in the process of training. It is unlikely that a newcomer will be able to correctly raise such a dog in a movie she needs a strong hand of an experienced person. The owner of the puppy of this breed is recommended to contact the dog handler.
Big Anglo-French Red-Peti Hound is used to working in a pack, so she easily finds a common language even with unfamiliar dogs. Of course, provided that they also show friendliness. However, for this it must be socialized. After all, even the most goodnatured pets can deliver a lot of trouble to the owner if they were not socialized on time.
Watchthers and security dogs are rarely obtained from red-pounds of hounds: they are not at all aggressive, tied to the owner, and not to the territory. Moreover, malice and cowardice are considered defects in the breed. Nevertheless, animals are wary of strangers, prefer to stay away. But, if a person shows interest in her, most likely the dog will make contact.
Red-pier hounds are loyal to children, especially if the pet grew up in a family with babies.
Care
For the Great Anglo-French Red-Red-pound, it is quite easy to care. It has a short hair, which is replaced by spring and autumn, during these periods of dogs, they comb out twice a week. The rest of the time is enough to walk with a damp hand or towel to remove the dropped hairs.
It is very important to monitor the purity of hanging ears of representatives of this breed. The cluster of dirt becomes the cause of inflammation and otitis media.
Conditions of detention
Big Anglo-French Red-Peti Hound-an active and hardy dog. She needs intensive physical exercises. In the absence of proper load, the character of the animal may deteriorate. The pet becomes uncontrollable and nervous.
