Yellow-brown oily (Suillus variegatus) is an edible mushroom that belongs to the Masleung family. Other names are a yellow-brown moss, motley butter.

Hat

Mature representatives of the species diameter of the hat is from 5 to 10 cm. Young specimens have a spherical hat, its edges are bent inside. Over time, this part of the mushroom is straightened. The hat is usually light brown, but can be painted in orange, yellow. It is usually covered with scales.

Doubles

The yellow-brown oil does not have toxic doubles, but it looks a little like the bile mushroom with color and “stockiness”. However, the sporiferous layer of the dangerous brother is white and on the cut may become pink or not change color.

The yellow-brown oil is like a goat mushroom outwardly. But the latter has large sizes, and its hat is much lighter. Another difference is that the pulp of a goat on the cut turns red.

Mushroom Kozlyak

But you can recognize the yellow-brown oil so that it grows only under pine trees, and mosses can be found in any corner of the forest.
